Dr. Mark Hansen
Dr. Hansen began his audiology career working with children at a Children’s Treatment Centre in Ontario. He opened Sound Hearing Clinic Inc in British Columbia 1995. He has an undergraduate degree in speech language pathology and a Master’s of Science Degree (M.S.) in Audiology from Minot State University. He then earned a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) Degree from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences. He is a clinical instructor with the Faculty of Medicine at UBC and has taught both introductory and advanced amplification courses at UBC. He is certified by the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. He is a past president of the British Columbia Association of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (BCASLPA). He was a member of the founding Board of the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHHPBC). He currently sits on several committees of the CSHHPBC.
Dr. Christopher Snavely
Dr. Snavely began his audiology career providing advanced diagnostic audiology in hospitals in California and Washington State before working for the Ministry of Health in British Columbia. He began the Outreach Program through the Sound Hearing Clinic Inc in 1999. Dr. Snavely earned an undergraduate degree in Speech and Language Pathology and Audiology from San Jose State University in California and worked as a Speech Language Pathologist in the California school system. He later earned a Master of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders/Audiology from the University of Redlands in California and a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) Degree from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences. He is certified by both the Canadian and American Associations of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. He has sat on the British Columbia Association of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology board and committees with the Board of the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC. Dr. Snavely has extensive experience providing audiology services with the Sound Hearing Clinic Inc Outreach Program, visiting remote clinic sites in central and northern British Columbia.
Cheri-Leigh’s interest in audiology stems from a lifetime of communicating and advocating for her severely hard of hearing mother and uncle. She completed a Bachelor of Speech Sciences at the University of British Columbia and a Post-Baccalaureate at Western Washington University. After completing her Master of Arts in Audiology from Western Washington University, she began dispensing hearing aids in Vancouver in 2001. Cheri-Leigh currently instructs at the British Columbia Institute of Technology where she certifies the Industrial Audiometric Technicians for BC. While continuing to teach, she is excited to begin her newest career path as part of the team at Sound Hearing Clinic Inc. She has a special interest in educating adults and children about noise-induced hearing loss.

Rachel has been in the customer service industry since 2004. She enjoys helping people find answers to their questions and solutions that work for them. She loves to travel, to see different cultures and meet new people. One of her bucket list items is to go to Egypt and ride a camel in the desert!
