Meet the Sound Hearing Clinic staff

Mark began his Audiology career working with children at a Children's Treatment Centre in Ontario. He opened Sound Hearing Clinic in South Vancouver in 1995. The Clinic has since grown to 2 full time in-city Clinics and numerous Outreach locations. Mark has an undergraduate degree in Speech Language Pathology. He spent a year traveling in the South Pacific prior to returning to school and earning a Master's of Science Degree (M.S.) from Minot State University in 1991. He then earned a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) Degree through the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He is a Clinical Instructor with the Faculty of Medicine at UBC, is certified by both the Canadian and American Associations of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and President Elect of BCASLPA (British Columbia Association of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology).

Christopher is a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.), a Degree which he earned through the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He received an undergraduate degree in Speech and Language pathology from San Jose State University in California, and later a Masters Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Redlands, California. Christopher began his career in Audiology in a hospital setting in Seattle, Washington. He spent a year sailing in the Caribbean prior to starting the Outreach Program at Sound Hearing Clinic. He is certified by both the Canadian and American Associations of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

As clinic co-ordinator, Jon keeps the Clinics operating in a finely tuned manner. He always makes himself available and continually reviews operating procedures. You will find him filling in for Pam and Jan when they are off on holiday.

Pam has been with the clinic since 2001. You will be greeted by her warm smile and cheery disposition when you visit the South Vancouver Clinic on Granville Street. She has been in the hearing healthcare industry for many years and has extensive knowledge regarding hearing instrument function. Originally from Cornwall, UK, she remains active with the Cornish Society in Vancouver.

Jan started with the Clinic in 2005. It is her sunny personality and cheery "Hi there, love" that will greet you at the Burrard Street Clinic. Jan is originally from the UK. She has a lengthy background in the hearing healthcare field and will be able to help with any questions or difficulties you might have.

Cheryl started part-time at the Granville clinic in the spring of 2011. She and Pam now job share. Cheryl has proven to be a "quick start" learner and continues to enjoy the experience!
